This Privacy Policy describes how Seccadem ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Islamic Prayer Assistant application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy while providing accurate prayer times and worship tracking.
Your Data, Your Control: Seccadem stores your worship data locally on your device. Cloud backup is optional and stores encrypted data in your own Google Drive account - we never have access to your personal worship history.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Location Information
Why We Need Location: Accurate prayer times and Qibla direction depend on your geographic location. We use your location to:
- Calculate precise prayer times for your location
- Determine accurate Qibla direction
- Find nearby mosques and halal places
Types of location access:
- Precise Location: For accurate prayer times and Qibla compass
- Background Location (Optional): To update prayer times when you travel
Location data is processed locally to calculate prayer times. We do not store your location history or share it with third parties.
1.2 Google Account Information
If you choose to sign in with Google for cloud backup:
- Email Address: To identify your account
- Basic Profile: Name and profile picture for personalization
1.3 Worship Data (Local)
The following data is stored locally on your device:
- Prayer tracking and completion status
- Tasbih counter records
- Worship streaks and statistics
- App preferences and settings
- Favorite mosques and places
1.4 Third-Party Data Collection
Google AdMob: Our app displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings.

4. Cloud Backup and Synchronization
4.1 How It Works
- Cloud backup is optional - the app works fully offline
- When enabled, your data is stored in your personal Google Drive
- All data is encrypted with AES-256 before upload
- We cannot access your Google Drive or backed-up data

6. Data Security
- Local Encryption: Sensitive data stored in encrypted format
- Cloud Encryption: AES-256 encryption for all backup data
- No Server Storage: We don't operate servers that store your data
- Secure Transmission: All network communication uses HTTPS
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Data is only shared:
- Google Services: As described above (Sign-In, Drive, AdMob)
- Your Choice: When you explicitly share content
- Legal Requirements: If required by law
8. Your Rights and Choices
- Location: You can use manual location entry instead of GPS
- Background Location: Can be disabled; prayer times update when app is opened
- Cloud Sync: Entirely optional; disable anytime
- Delete Data: Clear all local data in app settings
- Delete Cloud Data: Remove from your Google Drive
- Opt-out of Ads: Personalized ads can be disabled in device settings
- Sign Out: Disconnect Google account anytime
9. Children's Privacy
Seccadem is suitable for all ages as a worship assistance app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond what is necessary for the app's core functionality (location for prayer times).
10. International Users
Seccadem is designed for users worldwide. Prayer time calculations support multiple calculation methods used in different regions. Your data remains on your device or in your personal Google Drive account, regardless of your location.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
