This Privacy Policy describes how Vuo ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our serverless remote control application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy while enabling secure peer-to-peer connections.
Serverless Architecture: Vuo uses peer-to-peer (P2P) WebRTC technology. Your screen sharing data travels directly between your devices without passing through our servers. We cannot see, access, or store your screen content.
1. How Vuo Works
Vuo enables remote control and screen sharing between your devices using:
- WebRTC: Direct peer-to-peer connection between devices
- QR Code Pairing: Secure device pairing without accounts
- Firebase Signaling: Only used to establish initial connection (no content passes through)
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Connection Data (Temporary)
To establish P2P connections, we temporarily process:
- Connection IDs: Random identifiers for pairing devices
- ICE Candidates: Network information to establish direct connections
- Session Descriptions: Technical data for WebRTC handshake
This data is:
- Automatically deleted after connection is established
- Never stored permanently
- Not associated with any personal information
2.2 Screen Content
Important: Screen sharing content travels directly between your devices via encrypted P2P connection. We never have access to your screen content, mouse movements, keyboard input, or any data you share between devices.
2.3 Third-Party Data Collection
Google AdMob: Our app displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings.

4. Accessibility Service Usage
Accessibility Service Disclosure: Vuo uses Android's Accessibility Service to enable remote control functionality. This service is used
only to:
- Simulate touch events from the remote device
- Enable keyboard input from the remote device
We do not use the Accessibility Service to collect, store, or transmit any personal information, passwords, or sensitive data.

6. Data Security
- End-to-End Encryption: All P2P communication is encrypted using DTLS/SRTP
- No Server Storage: Your screen content never touches our servers
- Temporary Signaling: Connection setup data is automatically deleted
- No Accounts Required: No personal information needed to use the app
7. Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data. The only data that may be shared:
- Advertising data with Google AdMob
- Temporary signaling data through Firebase (auto-deleted)
8. Your Rights and Choices
- End Session: Disconnect at any time to stop all data sharing
- Deny Permissions: You can deny permissions (app may not function)
- Opt-out of Personalized Ads: Adjust in your device's Google settings
- Disable Accessibility Service: Turn off in Android settings when not in use
9. Children's Privacy
Vuo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
